The Dual Studies Program at Al-Quds University Honors Students' Achievements


The Dual Studies program at Al-Quds University has held a ceremony in honor of the students' achievements with the participation of Prof. Dr. Imad Abu Kishk- the President of AQU, Ms. Rachel Folz- the Deputy Head of Development Cooperation in the Representative Office of the Federal Republic of Germany, Ms. Kirsten Freimann- Senior Advisor in the GIZ office in Ramallah, in addition to AQU vise-presidents, deans, teaching staff and representatives of local partner companies. The dean of DS; Dr. Isam Ishaq opened the ceremony with a short speech, followed by speeches of Prof. Dr. Abu Kishk and Ms. Folz.  Honor students; majoring in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, and Business Administration, were awarded for their academic achievements during the first semester of 2016-2017.

The dual studies is an educational program that combines the academic study with the practical training at local companies. The program was launched at Al-Quds University in 2015 and funded by the German Government through GIZ. The purpose of the program is to bridge the gap between the academic educational system and the needs of the local Palestinian market.



The project "More Job Opportunities for Palestinian Youth" through Dual Studies at Al-Quds University, assisted by the German Government,
is being carried out by GFA Consulting Group on behalf of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
